Who are Phlebotomist’s?

Well phlebotomist’s are professionals linked to the medical field who perform the job of extracting blood for the patients in order to be used for in the laboratories for performing various health checks. This job role of a phlebotomist is in high demand especially in hospitals, clinics, medical centers and laboratories. Even though nurses or doctors are also found performing the job role of phlebotomy but the demands for these kinds of jobs are still high.

Every individual needs to visits a hospital in order to undergo specific diagnosis and health checks, which require extraction or drawing of blood. If you have had an action like such performed when you visited a hospital or clinics then most probably you have undergone phlebotomy.
Requirements for becoming a Phlebotomist:
1.     The person must at least be a high school graduate and must be qualified for the course of a phlebotomist.
2.     If the person doesn’t have a high school diploma then a GED will be required.
3.     The individual will have to finish a short term training course.
4.     Finally gaining experience by working in the medical field.
